Mt Whitney Slideshow
Mount Whitney - is 
the tallest peak in the 
continental United 
States. At 14,496 feet, 
and certainly one of the 
most photographed 
peak. The photo to the 
right was taken in the 
winter of 2004-2005 
when the Sierra's 
received record snow. It 
is amazing to think, that 
only 70 miles away is 
Bad Water, Death 
Valley. At 282 feet below 
sea level it is the lowest 
point in the western 
hemisphere. What a 
contrast! For more
