Temple Craig - has
been a hangout for
fisherman,
backpackers, day
hikers, and climbers for
many years. The
impressive north
buttress of Temple
Craig as seen to the
right has three summits.
The green color of
Third Lake is due to the
glacial silt that drains
into the water source.
This glacier silt is made
up of pulverized rock
that is produced under
the immense weight and
pressure of the glaciers
above.
